Bond Between Animals and Disabled Humans

Every human being who has closely interacted with the animal says that they can be the best companions. Animals have intelligence that goes beyond human recognition. Dogs have displayed their love and faithfulness and also have demonstrated their courage by saving lives of human beings in many ways.

Animals have several qualities which human beings lack like they have exceptional sense of night vision and smell, and they can also predict dangers. A human being has intelligence and still does not possess these additional qualities. Of late, there has been a lot of news floating about how physically disabled people who befriend an animal as a pet are benefiting from this friendship. Dogs, cats and horses are all in the same league.

A trained dog can act like a mascot for the physically disabled person in many ways. First reason is they are the best companions on an emotional level because they have no expectations and they do not judge their owner. They only know how to give love and do not know how to cause grief to the owner. A person with special needs can use a dog, for example, as a guide and partner.

Dogs are very alert creatures and they can be trained to recognize threat to their owner's life. Several dogs have saved their masters' lives by alerting people around when the owner was in distress. Dogs also help out in daily chores for the physically challenged person by bringing in milk or the daily newspaper. They can also open or close doors if trained to do so. They can easily guide a person on the wheelchair.
